Our first annual Youth Summer Camp is about to begin! Two weeks, 20 kids, countless hours of hard work, and a killer production team will create a fabulous, on stage performance of ‘Alice in Wonderland’! I am honored to be Camp Director and to launch this wonderful experience.

We are excited to be the first theater company to stage an all new adaptation of this classic story. Caitlyn Drake has created a deep and meaningful backstory to Alice creating Wonderland in an attempt to escape and hide from hardships at home. We will still see some beloved characters, just in a new light!

My vision for this new story was to set it apart from the classic look usually associated with Alice. I’m thrilled the production team jumped on board to create a Steampunk world for me! Our costumer, Tia Grimaldo, has created some out of this world costumes that are fun and unique. Set designer, Evelynn Ralston, and construction lead, Ian Korch, will make our stage bright, colorful, and full of Steampunk atmosphere.

The best part of this production? The camp attendees will get to be fully hands on in helping create the set, props, and costumes. The performance will be run by the attendees as stagehands and costume assistants backstage. This will be a full youth production in all aspects of performing. Our camp is open to both performing and non-performing attendees, it takes both to make a show happen!

And of course, our performance is open to the general public!

We are grateful to Cienega High School for hosting our performance on June 25th at 4:00 pm.
