The Sword in the Stone
An original, partial musical production of the beloved legend and classic tale!
Our action packed, fully immersive, two-week camp will end with a spectacular performance open to the public!
Our camps are designed for performing & non-performing participants. We offer roles for dancers, singers, actors, and stage crew. Attendees help construct set pieces, props, and costumes! When it is showtime, our camp kiddos take over and run the performance themselves! (With just a little help from the grown-ups for sound & lights.)

Our Director of Youth Programming, Christine Ralston, began performing on stage at 5 years old with the Missoula Children’s Theater. She continued acting on stage in local Utah theaters, in film, and for the Disney Channel throughout her youth and young adult years. A trained dancer of 30+ years, she has also taught dance classes and coached gymnastics in Utah and Arizona for youth and adults alike. Mrs. Ralston directed the very successful DCTC Youth Summer Camp productions of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in 2022, ‘Peter Pan’ in 2023 and ‘Beauty & the Beast’ in 2024, as well as the 2024 annual production of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Mrs. Ralston also oversees the youth workshops offered by DCTC. With a NFHS certification in Theater Safety and VPI fingerprint clearance from the state of Arizona, Christine pays close attention to the safety of the children participating in her camps and their well being is her top priority. Mrs. Ralston’s motto is “You never know who you may inspire out there. Always give your best performance! Be it an audience of 10 or 10,000.”
