The Wizard of Oz
From the big screen, to the stage! The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition will be our first full scale musical! Join us as we tell the story of Dorothy's visit to the mysterious land of Oz, accompanied by her furry companion, Toto. She meets the Munchkins and an unexpected trio along the way. Can the Wizard help her return home to Kansas? Will the Wicked Witch of the West stand in her way?
Camp runs 9 am-3 pm, June 8th -19th* at Copper Ridge Elementary
*We will hold a special Super Saturday Rehearsal on June 6th
Mandatory Parent Meeting & Auditions May 18th 2026 at 5:00 pm
Performances held June 20th at Pima Community College's West Campus
Please note we will double cast lead roles, each lead cast performing once.
Ensemble & Stage Crew participates in both performances.
Camp is for ages 8-17 offering both Performing & Stage Crew positions.
Ages 8-9 are Half-day $185 (plus taxes & fees) 10 performers
Ages 10-17 are Full-day $285 (plus taxes & fees) 40 performers, 5 crew
Registration will open April 1st 2026 - Includes camp shirt & 2 comp tickets!

Vail Community Scholarship
YSC 2026 Scholarship
We wish to keep our low-cost camp accessible to any & all children between the ages 8-17.
Our Vail Community Scholarship will ensure a child with limited means will have the same opportunity as their peers to attend this year's camp. This scholarship is made possible by donations from the Vail Community. Children interested in applying for the scholarship will be required to submit a video audition & short essay.
Application deadline is March 23rd 2026
Our Director of Youth Programming, Christine Ralston, began performing on stage at 5 years old with the Missoula Children’s Theater. She continued acting on stage in local Utah theaters, in film, and for the Disney Channel throughout her youth and young adult years. A trained dancer of 30+ years, she has also taught dance classes and coached gymnastics in Utah and Arizona for youth and adults alike. Mrs. Ralston directed the very successful DCTC Youth Summer Camp productions of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in 2022, ‘Peter Pan’ in 2023, ‘Beauty & the Beast’ in 2024, and ‘The Sword in the Stone’ in 2025. Also having directed the 2024 & 2025 annual productions of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Mrs. Ralston also oversees the youth workshops offered by DCTC. With a NFHS certification in Theater Safety and VPI fingerprint clearance from the state of Arizona, Christine pays close attention to the safety of the children participating in her camps and their well being is her top priority. Mrs. Ralston’s motto is “You never know who you may inspire out there. Always give your best performance! Be it an audience of 10 or 10,000.”
